Trick or Treat 2009!

Sorry there are so many pictures to follow - but its Halloween! What do you expect?

Getting ready to carve the jack-o-lantern - not sure why it turned green. No gagging for Drew this year! He did fake gag for our benefit, but maybe he's over the sensitive gag refex?

Daddy doing some carving
Corry decided she'd rather be an OSU cheerleader for Halloween than Tinkerbell, which I was actually glad about since I was afraid she might be too cold in the Tinkerbell one. Daddy was so proud of her choice!

This is Corry doing her "poke" fingers Carlie came over to help pass out candy with Grandpa Bob while we went trick or treating

Max, what happened to the jack-o-lantern?

Horrid Bedding = Happy 3 year old

I was only going to get Drew the Thomas sheets & then get him decent comforters to go with the bedding, but he fell in love with the Thomas comforters so I figured, you're only 3 once. There will be plenty of time for tasteful bedding. So, while it kills me to have a room that looks like its straight off the Walmart website, we have an extremely happy little 3 year old. That's what's important, right?

First pictures a little dark, but cute of the kids....2nd picture you can see the details of the delightful tackiness.....and Grandma - in the second picture on the far right you can see the bottom step up to the top "loft"

Big Boy Bed!

We're off to Walmart to find the perfect Thomas sheets for the new bunk beds. We'll do our best to tacky-up the new big boy furniture in no time :)

Busy Birthday & Halloween Weekend!

We had a busy busy weekend - Saturday we had gymnastics, the OSU football game, & Calyn's kid birthday party at The Little Gym. Today we had the costume carnival at The Little Gym. I think my kids are completely worn out. We're having melt down after melt down & I'm exhausted. Here are a few pictures we took when we weren't falling apart.

Corry's artwork

Everyday when I pick Corry up from school I go through her backpack and see what artwork she has brought home. Usually its a painting, or something she's decorated. Today when Mom & I pulled this out of the backpack, we weren't quite sure what to make of it. What does this look like to you?
Need a closer view?
Most everyone does not see it for what it really is, but rather something somewhat perverse (I have NO idea where that's coming from!).......anyway, if you guessed that this is a FOSSIL you get the gold star, because that's what Corry told us it is! They've been studying dinosaurs for the last 2 weeks, so they made fossils in class the other day???????????
Deachi, Calyn & Max came over for dinner tonight so we took a few pics

Helpful Big Sister

Corry & Drew came downstairs this morning and Corry was SO proud of herself! She said "Mommy, I got Drew dressed all by myself, but I need some help with the buttons in the back." I was trying to figure out what outfit Drew had that buttoned down the back. When I saw him, I realized what was going on! Grandma Connie had brought Drew back an outfit from Hawaii which he had never worn - I've tried to dress him in it several times, but he only wants to wear knit clothes....if I'd only known I needed to put it on him BACKWARDS & everything would be fine I would have done it much sooner :)

By the time we got to Calyn's house this morning the collar was driving him nuts, so I suggested we turn it around. Corry peeked down the front & said "Hey! This is on backwards, the tag is in the front!"

A Day Out With Thomas, Texas Style

We headed to Tyler, TX & Rusk, TX this weekend to celebrate Bryce's 4th birthday with Thomas. The kids all had lots of fun playing together & enjoyed seeing Thomas. Here are a few pictures from our weekend:
