Christmas Madness!

Okay - here is an overload of Christmas Eve & Christmas pictures -

We had a great Christmas & the kids (& Jimmy) have had a blast playing with all the new loot.  I'm going nuts trying to figure out where to put it all!

I got a camera just like Deachi's for Christmas, so I had lots of fun playing with it yesterday.  Mom also got the same camera so it was a little like being Chinese yesterday at Grandma Chebs house - we all had our cameras out & were clicking every shot we could possibly get.

Hope everyone else had as happy of a Christmas as we did - here's a recap:

Christmas Eve - making of the sugar cookies for Santa Claus

Some random family shots from Christmas Eve

Corry & Drew making Santa's chocolate milk & getting the cookies ready, the carrots out for the reindeer & saying a goodbye to Boots (our elf).  He hitched a ride back to the North Pole with Santa Claus on Christmas Eve & will return next year sometime to make sure everyone in the Dautrich house is being good!

Christmas Morning!  Drew came into our room all concerned because he never heard Santa's jingle bells, so he didn't think he had come.  I told him we'd go in the living room & check to see if he came or not (not sure how he didn't see all the loot when he came downstairs, but it was still dark outside, so maybe that's why.)

Corry requested a Snuggie for Christmas!

All of the above pictures were taken with the old camera - then I opened the new camera, so the old one was retired.  The rest of the pictures are with the new camera.  I can't wait to play some more & read my "For Dummies" book Mom got me so I can figure out all this thing does!

Meghan was my first shot with the new camera - notice the side of a little nudie person next to her - she snuck in there right as  I took the picture.  Also a picture of Corry in he new big girl robe

Christmas with Grandpa Jack & Grandma Connie

Our tradition is to open presents at home with the kids, and then head over to Grandpa Jack & Grandma Connie's for breakfast & present opening.  This year we had an extra surprise!  Aunt Lindsay and Robert are now engaged!  Corry's already asking if she gets to go to the wedding and if she can wear her "wedding dress" (the dress she wore as the flower girl in Uncle Olech & the other Aunt Lindsay's wedding).

After Christmas at the Dautrich house we headed home to take some naps (the kids & me - not sure if Jimmy did or not) and then we headed over to Grandpa Bob & Grandma Chebs house for more presents & dinner.

Mr. Max climing on the coffee table.  Is this not the cutest little guy EVER?

Nice  boobs, Matt.  Jimmy bought Olech this "rack" that plays the song Titties & Beer & the boobs bounce & jiggle to the beat.  Are we high class or what?  Ugh.  Olech told Lindsay they were hanging it in the living room.  She told him it could go in the garage.  I'm not sure I'd even allow that.

Loved this one of Charlie with the boobs in the background.

Sorry I've been MIA!

Tis the season to be sick & extremely busy at the same time! Yuck! Corry & I have had coughing & snots for a week & a half. Took her to the doctor this morning & she has a sinus infection. We'll get her on antibiotics this afternoon & hopefully she'll be as good as new by Christmas. My voice is finally starting to come back & I actually slept through the night last night! Yea! Jimmy's starting to get the runny nose & so far Drew is unscathed. The doctor did check him out while we were there & said he looks & sounds just fine. Hopefully he'll escape the crud.

We've had Christmas party after Christmas party lately, hadn't done any Christmas shopping for the adults, so throw being sick into the mix I have been horrible about taking pictures - so I have none to share.

Drew has been almost more than we can handle lately - he is so defiant! One minute he's a sweet little man, and the next he's Satan. You'd think this close to Christmas he'd want to be extra good - but no. I'm just hoping we make it through the 3s & that the 4s are a little less traumatic.

Corry is on break from school which is actually probably a good thing with all the snot she's been producing. She's super excited for Christmas, but hasn't really mentioned anything she really wants Santa to bring her. She's very vague this year - all we get out of her "toys."

We have our big Christmas Eve gathering coming up where we'll make cookies for Santa so I'm sure I'll get some pictures at that point! Just wanted the family to know that we are still alive & kicking - just super swamped with all the holiday activities!

Star of the Week

Last week Corry was Star of the Week at her school in celebration of her 1/2 birthday. The whole family got to go to school for the last hour of her class on Thursday. We ate lunch with her, passed out cupcakes, & after a little coaching on how to read a book to a room full of 4-5 year olds, Jimmy read them Splat the Cat. Mom & Dad were there too, but they didn't make any of the pictures - I didn't take my camera, so these are all the pictures I pulled off of her school website. Enjoy!

Corry telling everyone about her Star of the Week poster

Corry sharing the Stripe's Adventures book with her class - also notice that "C" was the letter of the week since Corry was the Star of the Week

Corry and her two friends she talks about the most - Reese has the pink glasses on, is a week or two younger than Corry, and lives right here in our neighborhood! Mackenzie had her birthday party on Sunday afternoon - Corry's first classmates birthday party!

Calyn and Uncle Jimmy getting ready for the festivities

Mommy & the 1/2 birthday girl! Corry made this crown on her first day of school It has 5 birthday candles on top

Getting our picnic lunch all ready - normally the family sits at the little tables, but since we brought an entourage, we got to eat on the floor picnic style.

Max enjoying his apples & sandwich

Mrs. Voelkle leading the class in the Happy Birthday Song while Corry used the pointer to help everyone follow the words along.

Corry helping Ms. Tempio pass out the cupcakes - she was so excited to get to be the server!

Corry & Calyn eating cupcakes

Daddy enjoying a book of Splat the Cat at only an angle he & the birthday girl could enjoy :)

Daddy reading Splat the Cat after I flipped the book around for him - he was pretty ticked at me that I didn't let him know ahead of time that he needed to read it sideways! Engineers - yeeesh.
