Dan

Since my surgerey has been postponed, I had the pleasure of hanging out with Calyn & Corry while the boys napped yesterday afternoon.  I didn't go back to work since I was working on zero sleep, and also waiting around for the hematologist to see if they could "squeeze me in" for an appointment yesterday or today (I'll get to that in a moment).

Jimmy has called me Merle for as long as I can remember, and this has caught on with Corry.  She started calling me Merle a few months ago.  Whenever she does, I call her Curl.  Yesterday Calyn asked me if she could call me Merle like Corry does.  I said "sure, can I call you Curl?"  she said "No, call me Dan."  She's so random.  So, I am now calling Calyn Dan. Dan is such a character!

The hematologist office called me late yesterday and have scheduled an appointment for 10:30 this morning.  The doctor who is doing my surgery wants instructions from the hematologist on how to treat me before & after the surgery.  If I just have to take blood thinners after the surgery, then I will have the surgery Thursday at 2:30.  If I have to be on blood thinners prior to the surgery, then it will be postponed until a later date.

I'm hoping I just have to be on them post surgery (or not at all), but we'll see what the hematologist says this morning.

Well, my little Drewski just joined me, so I better get off the computer & get our day started.

Montgomery County Fair & Max's Party!

I don't think I'm going to have time to upload all the pictures to the blog before my big surgery on Tuesday.....so below is a link to view the pictures that I have from the Montgomery County Fair & BBQ Cookoff & Max's party.

Jimmy had a friend competing in the BBQ cookoff & he invited us to come up.  The kids enjoyed the fair, but I really felt a little out of place without tattoos covering my entire body & odd color dyed hair.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend!

Sprinkler System Repair, Church, & the Park

We started off our morning with a lesson in sprinkler system repair.  Our side yard is a muddy, swampy mess.  Jimmy found a leak, but not before digging out several enormous holes in the yard.

Dad, I think this is where the problem is.
Jumping over the holes is a whole lot more fun than diagnosing problems
Corry getting in on the action
Dad agrees that playing leap frog over holes is much more entertaining.
Mr. Drewski
Corry getting her feet all rinsed off
Grandma Chebs took the ladies to church with her this evening.  Corry just knew everyone at church would think she was so beautiful - and why wouldn't they?
Love this picture - too bad the backdrop is a wide open garage door
Where's Mocha?  Can you find him in this picture - he's there!
Calyn getting ready to head out to church with Grandma
Drew & I went to the park while the girls were at church - here's an action shot of his running across the bridge
Hard to imagine this is the same sweet little face that refers to me as Mrs. Boobs.
Just a swinging......
Hope everyone had a nice weekend!!!

Happy Easter 2010

We had a very nice Easter with the family despite me starting off the day by slicing my finger open on the veggie slicer. I didn't think it would ever stop bleeding.

Here are a few pictures from our day:

Drew showing me the Robot Grabber that the Easter Bunny left.  His lasted about 2 hours.  He decided to throw it over the landing onto the tile.  It is now in the garbage.

Corry checking out her new stuff
Corry & Uncle Matt
Max showing me his tube of Pez
Grandma Chebs went all out decorating the backyard for the kids.  We all commented that Grandpa Guier would have been so proud.
Happy Drew before he got red jello all over his clothes (as did everyone else at the kid table)
Rarely seen photo of ME!  with my two favorite girls.
Close up of Miss Payne
Since all the clothes were being washed to prevent permanent red stains, the Easter egg hunt took place partially clothed.
Corry in one of Grandma's t-shirts
Grandma Lois spotted one last egg....a race to see who could get to it first
Drew having a serious conversation with Grandma Connie
Hope everyone had a great Easter!

The latest & greatest

Here's a few pictures to wrap up what all's going on in our world these days

Kids are loving playing with the legos. Here's one they built so all the engines could sing Happy Birthday to Sir Topham Hat and his "twin brother" (another Sir Topham Hat)
Here is an unwelcomed visitor who was dining on our back fence.  Not sure what it was, but it had a lot of guts hanging down.  He flew away as I was trying to take the picture.  If you click on the picture you can see all the grossness.

Jimmy finally got his wish and got a new TV for the living room, even though our old TV still worked just fine.  Oh well, he's happy - too bad I can't watch it because I have no idea how to turn it on.
The girls had a blast playing with the box
Hey!  Isn't someone going to let me in?
And finally - Easter egg coloring yesterday in the backyard.  I think Max Max had the most fun of anyone.
