Wardrobe Challenges

Corry likes to do the layered look - we haven't quite ironed out the details on matching sure the layers match...

It was 55 degrees the other morning while we were waiting on the bus.  Drew came out Dressed in his heavy winter coat, shorts & flip flops.
Drew wanted to wear his OSU jersey so he could be "just like the guy in the Taylor Swift video"
Corry wanted to play dress up....
And this one doesn't have anything to do with dress code....the kids built an entire Smurf village on Jimmy's pool table hoping to lure the Smurfs to The Woodlands to live.  They told me that if the Smurfs hadn't moved in by Sunday, they would take it down.  So far, there isn't a Smurf in sight.

Corry's first grades!

Corry got her first graded papers home yesterday, as well as her progress report for the week. The best one can do on the progress report at this point is an "S" and I'm happy to announce that she had a week full of S!

Below are her first graded papers:

She showed me this one, and said "I'm very happy with this one, it is a 100%, that's the best you can do." You can click on the picture to view larger, but basically she had to cut the letters out at the bottom of the page and place them next to the corresponding "-at" and "-an" to label the pictures.

This next picture she said "I'm not too happy with this one, it's only a 98%." I looked at the picture and couldn't really figure out why she got a 98% because it looked like all the letters were correct to me. She said that Mrs. Strassburg said it was because she needed to work on making her coloring a little neater. It looked like a kindergartener did it. Yikes. I wonder if that's what she really said?  I tried to convince her that a 98% is still really great, but being the perfectionist she is, she's striving for all 100%s.  Good goal to have, I guess!
