I don't know what my problem is, but I'm having an immense amount of difficutly getting into the Christmas spirit this year. All the decorations are up - the ginormous 12 foot tree is up, the crummy 13 year old tree is in the dining room, each kid has a 2ft tree in their rooms, we're on our way to looking like the Griswolds inside & out, yet I'm still just blah. I am, however, very much looking forward to seeing the family who is coming to visit after Christmas! I'm also excited about being off the 22nd-27th! I'm also looking forward to the kids being out of school for 2 weeks. Have I mentioned lately that I hate packing lunches? It is the low point of my day.
My bah humbugness seems to be carrying over into updating the blog & posting pictures, so apologies for the lack of posts. The excitement in the Dautrich house lately has been that I got robbed, and then won a TV. Don't worry - no danger involved in being robbed, just had all the cash stolen from my billfold. I won the TV at Jimmy's Christmas party. I think we're going to use it for our new outdoor patio.
Another positive - Corry continues to do great in school & had another fantastic progress report - a 99% in Social Studies, a 98% in Science, and 97%s in Math & Langauge Arts. She LOVES school & is looking forward to being an angel in the nativity re-enactment at the church on Christmas Eve.....however she told Mom that she hasn't learned to fly yet.
Drew is also doing really well in school. He loves going & his clip has stayed on green the entire year! That means he hasn't even had one warning at school. Shock! Glad to know that he does have the capability of listening and following directions!
Without further ado, and me trying to bring everyone down with my Scrooge-like attitude, here are some pictures!
