X-Ray Results
X-Rays were negative! No fractures! Whew. He was thrilled that he wouldn't have to have a cast and could continue swimming daily. Dodged another bullet!
Corry had early release from school today, so Jimmy took the kids golfing. They played nine holes. I got sent home from work because I feel like crap, so I rested.
Nothing else new in the Dautrich house. Will update this weekend after the swim evaluations!

Stain & Some X-Rays
Today the patio people came and stained the woodwork & painted the trim. Here are a few pictures
Here's a sweet little princess who likes to wear bikinis because they make her look "hot" and asked me today if she could get her hair highlighted :/ Slow down missy - there's plenty of time to grow up!
And this little punk...let's talk about his recent adventure....
Last Thursday Aunt Sandi & I took the 4 kids to the mall to go to Build A Bear. Since we weren't taking a trip for Spring Break, we decided to fill each day with something the kids enjoy, but don't get to do often. After Build A Bear we were going to have lunch in the food court, but we had about 15 minutes to kill. The kids all wanted to play on the germ tree at the mall. Do you know how difficult it is to watch 4 maniacs run around that place in all different directions (yes, I'm already making excuses for what is about to be revealed....) I hear "Mom, look at me! Take my picture!" I look up to find this little monkey dangling from the tree

Take my picture!" I look up to find this little monkey dangling from the tree
I shoot the picture with my phone and glace down to see if I got a good one, all the while wondering to myself how I'm going to get him down. I hear "WAAAAAAHHHHHH, Mommy, I broke a bone!" I rush over, scoop him up and try to get him to stand up. He crumbles to the ground in a big heap. I held him, Aunt Sandi twisted, poked, and thoroughly checked out the ankle/foot area that seemed to be the part that was hurting the most. I was finally able to get him to put some weight on it, and he hobbled (crying all the way) up to the food court for lunch.
Friday morning he was still complaining of his "broken bone" so I called the doctor and took him. There was no brusing, no swelling, just pain. I really thought they would laugh me out of the office for taking him in. They asked him how he hurt his ankle to which he blabbed the whole story, making me sound like the completely inattentive mother that I was..."I was at the mall, and I climbed the tree, way high into the branches, and my mom took my picture, and then I fell out and broke my bone." Nice. The doctor worked over his foot & ankle really well. She said she didn't think we needed to x-ray it, but to watch it over the weekend, and if he was still favoring it on Monday that they would do x-rays.
He complained about it off and on throughout the weekend, but come Monday he was so excited to get back to school, he didn't really complain much. As the week wore on we started noticing him limping more and more, and he started complaining about it again. So today I called the doctor & they ordered the x-rays.
I picked little man up from school and headed to Out Patient Imaging. He was pretty well behaved throughout registration and waiting. He managed to kick over a cup of water right as a tech walked out of the x-ray room. I asked her for a towel so we could clean up the mess. She helped us mop up the water and Drew told her "I'm ready for my x-ray RIGHT NOW." She asked him if he would like some juice and then told him she would let the other techs know that he was ready "RIGHT NOW." Minutes later Drew had some apple juice & we were headed into the x-ray room.
He hopped right up on the table and began asking the x-ray tech a billion questions. Each time he would snap the x-ray picture Drew would ask when he was going to get to see his bones. All the techs kept coming over to watch him get his x-rays and were all remarking on how cute & adorable he was.
After he was finished being x-rayed they brought him over to the computers and showed him his bones. There were x-rays off his foot and ankle. He is convinced that his bones are blue since that's how they looked on the x-ray.
As we were walking out of the room he said "why doesn't it feel better?" I guess he thought the x-rays were going to fix things.
The radiologist had to review the x-rays and then they will send the results to the pediatrician. I'm hoping we'll hear something tomorrow. I really don't think anything is broken, but I guess we'll find out soon enough. I hope for his sake and ours that it's not because I don't even want to imagine the hostility and resentment there will be if everyone else is getting to swim and he's not.
Will update when we have the results from the doctor!

Spring Break
I can't believe I hardly took any pictures over spring break. I'm such a slacker. Here are a few:
Corry is getting ready to start her last nine weeks at a 1st grader. I can't believe how fast the year has gone! Soon we will be enrolling little man in kindergarten. Yikes!
Corry has finally decided she wants to get involved in something. Much to our surprise, she has chosen swimming! She and Drew go for their swim evaluations on Saturday and will start lessons soon after. I hope they both enjoy it! Everyone has really been enjoying the pool. Max enjoys the diving board (as long as someone is there to catch him) and he likes the spa as well. I finally got into the pool on Sunday. I got right back out as quickly as I got in. I think I'll hold off on swimming until its a LOT warmer outside.
They delivered the stain & supplies to stain our woodwork yesterday. It stormed & rained all day today, so nothing happened today. Tomorrow Jimmy and I have "pool school" to learn how to care for and maintain the pool. They are supposed to come and repair our sprinkler system this week. They are holding off on installing our door alarms, replacing sod, and putting some spring latch on the gate until after Aggieland is finished with the patio and fireplace. Hoping that will all be done within the next couple weeks, but that is probably wishful thinking!
Jimmy and I have been researching landscpaing ideas, but I'm getting totally overwhelmed. We may end up hiring it out. Just depends where we are budget wise when the patio is finished. Just money, right?
That's about all I can think of to ramble on about, so I'll quit. More updates if anything fantastic happens this week!
I have absolutely no idea what this is all about, but it will make a nice addition to the Drew movie this ye
The old lady checking things out
Enjoying a little hot tub time
The new obsession
Too busy watching Scooby Do to look at the camera
The princess and her new do.

Pool & Patio Progress
The diving board was installed today. We have 5 big fans so far.
Mocha is undecided as his tennis balls keep falling in, and he hasn't mustered up the courage to go in after them yet.
They put up a screen for the pool equipment, which was unexpected. The jury is still out on whether or not we are fans.
And more progress on the patio
The hole will be for stereo equipment/dvd, etc. It will have doors.
And the weeping rocks finally weep & the heater is on!!

Time to swim!
Blogger is making me furious right now. It's skipping around and I cannot label my pictures appropriately. Wish I was more tech savvy. Anyway, below are some pictures of the pool filling, the color differences in overcast light vs. nearly full sunshine, some maniacs swimming, the return of some sweet little puppies, the construction of our new French doors, and the installation of all things electrical for the outdoor patio. Enjoy, and sorry nothing is captioned.

Filler Up!
They acid washed the pool today & around 3:30pm plopped two garden hoses into the deep end & turned on the water. 4 hours later it is almost to the level it was with the 2-3 weeks worth of rain water. Anxious to see where we are in the morning!
Tomorrow they are supposed to come and install our doors, but at this point I will believe it when I see it.
